Ordering & lead times

How long does my order take?

Everything is made to order. Small leather goods — card holders, coin purses, wallets, straps — ship in three to four weeks. Bags and highly custom work take around eight weeks, confirmed at consultation.

There is something specific I’m looking for but I can’t see it on your website. Can you make more than what you have listed?

Absolutely — most of what is listed began as a client’s request. I am always glad to make something specific to your needs, whether that is an interpretation of a classic design, a modification to an existing piece, or something entirely new. Send me a message.

I’m looking to have something made in a specific leather. Can you help me find it?

No problem — send me a message. I can help you identify the leather if necessary, and source it for you.

Payment & deposits

How does payment work?

Small leather goods are paid in full at order. Commissions: a 50% deposit secures your production slot, and the balance is due only when your piece is finished and ready to ship.

Delivery & customs

Will I have to pay customs charges on delivery?

The price you see is the price you pay. All US import duties and taxes are covered — your piece arrives with nothing more owed.

Returns

Can I return my piece?

Bespoke and made-to-order pieces are made for you and cannot be returned. The lifetime stitching guarantee stands behind every piece — if my stitching ever fails you, return it and I will make it right.

Guarantee & repairs

What does the guarantee cover?

Every seam is guaranteed for the life of the piece. Stitching and structural repairs are undertaken free under the guarantee; leather colour restoration and specialist spa work are referred to trusted specialists. See Guarantee & Repairs.

Customisation

Do you do monogramming?

Yes — I have a foil stamping machine and can offer monogramming or short messages. I use a discreet serif font and generally stamp in gold or silver, though other colours are possible. There is an additional charge; contact me to discuss what you have in mind.

I would like a custom stamp made to emboss my item. Is this something you can do?

I can have custom brass stamps made to emboss your piece. There is an additional cost, and a few factors to discuss first — send me a message.

Exotics

Can you use exotics like alligator and ostrich?

Yes, on commission, and fully documented. Two practical notes. First, import regulations: even with CITES-certified hides, shipping an exotic piece outside the UK requires an export certificate per item, which carries both a monetary and a not-insignificant time cost. Second, hide cost: a full alligator hide runs between £500 and £800, so exotics rarely make sense for small pieces like watch straps or card holders. For a bag or a larger commission, they can be extraordinary — ask me.
